Not great Review by Mike
One of the few TOBS creams I wont use again. I just dont care for the scent, very strong and overpowering to my nose (Posted on 11/8/2014)
The Best Review by Jim
This was my first brush-based shaving cream after switching to a double edged razor and ditching the canned stuff. Having moved on to other creams and soaps, I'm tempted to return to this product due to the excellent smoothness it provided. I really want to try other stuff to give myself options, but wow I miss the way it felt on my skin. This is probably my favorite TOBS cream, you just can't go wrong! (Posted on 10/22/2014)
Awesome price to performance! Review by Neil
This was my first type of "high end" product in a sense. Its a lot more than I had ever spent on a can of goo when I used to cartridge shave. I have a pretty sensitive face that gets pretty gnarly ingrowns and razor bumps, but this shaving cream is absolutely amazing. I face lather and this shaving cream is so soothing to the face and the after shave feel is very moisturzing. Has good slickness, cushion, and glide. TOBS offers a variety of shaving creams, and this one is an awesome one to start with. (Posted on 8/7/2014)
Soothing and easy to lather Review by Paul
This cream is very easy to lather, and has a nice scent. It's one of my wife's favorites. The lather is slick and provides nice skincare. It's easy to use too much sometimes... A little goes a long way. (Posted on 8/4/2014)
Awesome Review by Pete
This is by far my favorite TOBS product. The scent is masculin without being over powering, and remains throughout the shave. It's a very easy to lather cream that is thick and smooth without being greasy. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to use a shaving cream. (Posted on 7/15/2014)
Not for me Review by Jason
I like TOBS shaving creams, and this one performs like the others. I guess I'm in the minority as I don't like the scent at all. It's got a strange processed smell that I can't quite place my finger on. (Posted on 6/27/2014)
Subtle and Unique Review by Ron
This is one of the 'indescribable' TOBS scents. It's just very crisp and clean, a true classic barber soap scent. One of the best TOBS scents, I think. Very unique. Also very subtle and it will not interfere with an aftershave or cologne. Definitely recommended. As for the cream, like all TOBS, it's fantastic. You can't go wrong with TOBS. (Posted on 6/18/2014)
Smells great! Review by Brian
This is probably the closest smell to Dreadnaught cream that I've found. Not the same, but very similar. Like the other TOBS creams, it's a very nice slick cream. This one smells great too! (Posted on 6/10/2014)
One of my go to creams Review by Brian
The scent of this TOBS cream is one of my favorites of their offerings; as with their other creams it produces great lather with ease. I can't speak to the "sensitive skin" properties since I do not have sensitive skin, but the scent is light and fresh, something I would gladly wear as a cologne. (Posted on 6/9/2014)
Love this stuff, the scent is amazing! Review by Steven
Awesome shaving cream and a wonderful scent! (Posted on 6/7/2014)
Smells incredible! Review by Evan
This is far and beyond the best smelling shaving cream I have ever used. It is a complex mixture of scents that comes off as masculine and refined. This cream will stay in my rotation for many years to come! (Posted on 6/6/2014)
Easily my favorite cream from TOBS Review by Brian
This was the first TOBS cream and tried and remains my favorite to this day. This scent is mild, but complex. Somewhat unisex and a bit on the sweet side. The scent is difficult to describe, because there is a lot going on, but it opens with mild floral and citrus notes, resting on a base of musk and vanilla. The vanilla really powers through, but blends perfectly with the citrus notes so as not to get too sweet.
This cream is slightly more expensive than other TOBS creams, but well worth the little extra. It's designed for those with sensitive skin. I personally have never had a reaction to any of the TOBS creams, I just enjoy this scent the most. However, if you tend to avoid scented soaps and creams because of possible reactions to the fragrance and essential oils used, you might give this cream a shot.
Like everything else offered by TOBS, it performs excellently and is a great value. (Posted on 6/3/2014)
Mild fragrance, good performance. Review by Mitchell
I enjoy this cream, but it isn't a sensitive skin formula.
I personally did not have a reaction to it, but if your looking for a product that avoids fragrance oils, this isn't it.
The smell is light and pleasant, and the performance is good otherwise. (Posted on 5/29/2014)
Another great TOBS product Review by Josh
This is probably the mildest scent of Jermyn Street/Mr. Taylor/Eton College although all three have similar and pleasing scents. Jermyn Street is definitely a fresh, clean, cologne scent and toned down for sensitive skin. Performance is excellent, as you would expect from a TOBS cream. (Posted on 5/21/2014)
Love the Smell but may irritate some Review by John
I read many rave reviews before I made this purchase, which was in fact one of my very first shaving soaps. First off I have to say the scent is incredible; it smells like a fine gentleman's cologne. It is easy to load and lathers like a dream either on your face, in a bowl, or a scuttle. It makes a thick cushiony lather that protects against your razor, and rinses clean under warm water. Now, the only hang up I have is that it can sometimes irritate my skin, which is ironic as this IS their sensitive skin formula. I think maybe I just used it on a day that was too close between shaves for me. Otherwise, I feel this is a wonderful luxury soap that's priced right for what you get in terms of quality and performance. (Posted on 5/21/2014)
A different style of TOBS Review by Aaron
The Jermyn Street smell of this cream is a bit less diverse than many of the other Taylor of Old Bond Street offerings and for this reason it may be a perfect transition for someone new to shaving creams without wow-ing their senses too much on the first go.
The Jermyn Street scent is very "manly", almost like a subtle cologne. I noticed a light difference during the shave in terms of the sensitivity but after felt very fresh and soft. I'm not sure the sensitivity claim are worth the $2 price bump since TOBS is traditionally very easy on the skin but the scent itself is unique within the TOBS line and may be worth it for some.
