  1. Very real rose scent Review by Gabriel

This cream performed like a Taylor of Old bond street cream. Great lather, great cushion, not as slick as a hard soap. It is a great cream for beginners who love the smell of roses. My girlfirend really enjoyed this for her legs, as it is a dead on, very realistic rose scent (Posted on 11/20/2014)

Lets be honest, this is not the manliest shaving cream. If you want a rose scented cream that performs very well and offers great value TOBS Rose is a great choice. It could be a great way to introduce a significant other into wet shaving. (Posted on 11/14/2014)

Accidentally ordered Grapefruit and then ordered rose as I read it is good for sensitive skin. It smells just like roses and in my opinion, lathers a little lighter than the others. May not order twice, but would order other T&B creams. (Posted on 11/11/2014)

A great value for the price generally, when it comes to TOBS, but in this case, the scent just kills it for me. It is insanely floral, and doesn't go well as a shaving cream. The performance is top notch, your lather will explode from your brush. (Posted on 10/22/2014)

  5. Very floral smelling Review by Neil

I am pleased with the overall quality of the Taylor of Old Bond Street product line. I started with the Sandlewood and bought the Rose to try it out. It whips up nicely, goes on good and feels great. The scent leaves much to be desired, and isn't for everyone. Rose and shaving cream just sometimes don't work together. (Posted on 8/8/2014)

  6. Good Solid Cream Review by Daniel

This was the first shave cream I used when I first started wet shaving. it has a nice floral rose scent, not to rosey or perfumey. Performance is solid, It has slickness , and cushion. There are others out there that are a little bit better though IMO, but as with everything, YMMV. The overall value of this cream is average. There are creams just as good, but better values out there, like Proraso green for instance. This is a decent cream, but if your on a budget, there are better options out there. On the other hand, if you like a rose scent in your cream, this is one I would reccommend. (Posted on 7/19/2014)

  7. Great Cream, Not a Great Scent Review by Ron

If you've had Taylor of Old Bond St. creams before, you know that it's a quality product. The cream is consistent to their line and quality. I'm not a fan of the rose here though. Rose is an odd scent. While it can be manly-ish, it also can be old lady-ish and it really depends on what your associations are with the smell. For me, it's an old lady's purse. The cream is great, the smell not so much. If you like Rose, you'll love this cream. (Posted on 7/9/2014)

  8. Proves that Rose can be a very masculine scent Review by Richard

I was a bit hesitant when ordering this cream the first time as I'm not normally into a lot of floral scents and, well, roses didn't really strike me as something I'd want to smell like when walking out into the real world :)

But, having used a lot of TOBS' products and wanting something 'new' I decided to take a gamble.

The scent is sort of a 'deep rose' scent. It's floral that's for sure but it's not overly feminine to me.
The performance of the cream is exactly what you expect from TOBS - very easy to lather and a nice thick lather with sharp peaks.

Who knows, maybe I AM a floral-kind of guy after all.. :) (Posted on 7/7/2014)

  9. Best rose for the money Review by Jason

There are a lot of rose creams out there, but not a single one that comes close to being this good for this price. It's not a girly scent at all, fellas. This one will get you plenty of ladies, though. Typical TOBS lather, so as long as you like the scent you're good to go.

FYI, some people are sensitive to the EO/FO used in this cream. (Posted on 6/30/2014)

Rose products are often much more expensive than other scents. The value that you get with this cream is unparalleled. A luxury scent without the luxury pricetag! (Posted on 6/6/2014)

  11. The Wife's soap Review by Mike

This is your typical TOBS cream. It produces a thick, rich lather with ease and gives a great smooth shave. The scent seems to be the only big difference from one TOBS cream to another, and that is the one thing I'm not to keen on in this one. The rose scent is VERY floral to me, and kind of makes me feel like it leaves me smelling kind of feminine. No need to worry though. the wife LOVES this one for shaving her legs, so I guess everything has it's purpose. (Posted on 6/6/2014)

  12. Very floral cream, may not be for everyone Review by Brian

This cream is very floral. There is a hint of spice in the background. It doesn't necessarily smell like roses, but does smell like freshly cut flowers. It's not terribly masculine, but it's not outright feminine either. It's a very unisex fragrance. I happen to like it a lot, but if you tend to gravitate toward woody/musky/overtly masculine scents, this is not the cream for you.

Of course, in terms of performance, it performs as well as you'd expect from TOBS. A great value for the price. (Posted on 6/3/2014)
