  1. Decent scent, but very mild Review by Gabriel

This cream threw me off track a little. Of the creams by this brand I have tried, it was by far one of the mildest scents. It was vaguely cologne-like, kind of citrus and modern to my nose, but was nowhere near as pronounced. It performed as well as any of the creams in my sampler, lathered well and provided good cushion, but I still prefer a slicker hard soap (Posted on 11/20/2014)

  2. Traditional Scent - Great Performance Review by Josh

As with all TOBS creams, St. James performs very well assuming you use the correct water/product ratio, a good brush and a lather bowl. The scent is not as strong as Eton College, which at times can be a good thing. Very pleasant smelling and a pleasure to use. (Posted on 11/14/2014)

Im undecided on this scent honestly. Its a nice barbershoppy scent, classic and modern at once. It is kind of a one-off thing you cant describe (Posted on 11/8/2014)

This shaving cream is amazing. Doesn't have that strong of a scent, but its still there. As for performance, like with all TOBS creams, its top notch. (Posted on 10/22/2014)

  5. Great scent Review by Jo

Taylors make a great shaving cream at a reasonable price. St James has a clean soapy type scent to my nose. Perhaps a little floral, but not in a way most folks consider feminine.

    From Taylor of Old Bond Street's website, St James is described as;
A fresh masculine fougere opening with bergamot and mandarin intertwined with citrus ozone notes supported by a fruity floral heart resting on a woody amber base. Contains Coriander oil, Geranium oil, Lavandin Grosso, Lemon oil, Patchouli oil, Pine oil and Spearmint oil.

That's a slight different description from the above listing. (Posted on 8/11/2014)

This is a fantastic shaving cream! It creates a very thick/slick lather and smells great. The smell is masculine without being musky. It has a clean, fresh scent that isn't too overpowering. I highly recommend this shaving cream. I will definitely try more of TOBS' products in the future. (Posted on 8/8/2014)

Speaking primarily about the scent, since all TOBS soaps make great lather. This one has definitely a refined herbal-ish scent. Should appeal to folks that like sandalwood type scents and vegetal after shaves. (Posted on 7/15/2014)

This is one of the TOBS 'barber shop' scents, or soap scents. Sort of indescribable. A very quality product. If you like TOBS, you're going to like this. And if you like a cream that smells nice, and mixes well with most aftershaves, this works well too. Lathers great, so is ideal for a begginer, or anyone who likes quality shaves. Taylor products are always of extremely high quality, this one is no exception. The scent is very unique and masculine. This one comes highly recommended. (Posted on 6/6/2014)

  10. Another great cream from TOBS Review by Brian

This one is very similar to Eton College, and difficult to describe the differences. It's a citrus/floral scent with a woody base. Very unique and masculine. It also smells very fresh and clean.

Like all other TOBS creams, it performs well. A little bit of cream produces enough thick, creamy, slick lather for several passes. A tub of this stuff could last you all year and is a great value for the price. (Posted on 6/3/2014)

  11. Great performance, interesting scent Review by Mitchell

I really enjoy this cream, it's in my top 3 for sure.

It has sandalwood, but it's more of a muted note, and it can smell a bit floral, but definitely manly.

Like some of the other TOBS scents, its a pretty complex, manly, enjoyable scent. (Posted on 5/29/2014)
